Responsible Play
The optional gaming lounge at Vantor House exists for guests who choose it. Participation is never required, and the tower remains a quiet residential address regardless.
Optional by design
The lower mezzanine gaming lounge is physically separated from residential elevators and suite floors. No rate package includes lounge access as a condition of stay. Guests who prefer an evening in the piano lounge, a spa treatment, or simply an early night need never enter the gaming area. Staff do not promote or upsell gaming activity.
Age verification
Entry is restricted to persons twenty-one years of age or older. Valid government-issued photo identification is required at the door and may be requested again at any time. Minors are not permitted in the gaming lounge under any circumstance, including when accompanied by an adult guest.
House standards
We maintain the same calm conduct expected elsewhere in the tower. Intoxicated guests may be refused entry or asked to leave. Disruptive behavior, harassment of staff or other guests, and attempts to circumvent age checks result in removal and may affect continued accommodation.
Alcohol service in the lounge follows the same responsible service training as our dining rooms. Complimentary drinks are not tied to gaming activity.
Personal limits
We encourage guests to decide in advance how much time and money they intend to spend before entering the lounge. Floor staff can provide information about self-limit tools available under local regulation, including voluntary exclusion programs and session timers on electronic terminals.
If you feel that gaming is no longer recreation — if you are chasing losses, borrowing to play, or neglecting rest — we urge you to step away and speak with someone you trust. Our front desk can provide contact information for confidential counseling services without judgment.
Support resources
Help is available twenty-four hours a day through national problem gambling helplines. Trained counselors offer free, confidential conversations by phone and text. You may also ask guest relations for printed resource cards available at the lobby desk and gaming lounge entry.
- National Problem Gambling Helpline: 1-800-522-4700 (US)
- Crisis Text Line: text HOME to 741741
These external services operate independently of Vantor House. We list them because early conversation often prevents deeper harm.
Staff training
Gaming lounge and front desk staff receive periodic training on recognizing signs of problem gambling, de-escalation, and referral to support resources. We do not train staff to encourage extended play or to target guests who appear distressed.
